I have always enjoyed photography yet never progressed beyond point and shoot cameras until earlier this year. I was what is lovingly referred to as a "snap shot" photographer... In 1987 I received my first Pentax camera as a high school graduation gift. It was an IQ Zoom 35mm. I had many years of fun with that camera and even purchased another IQ Zoom (Date) several years later to replace it… Late last year I became interested in photography as a hobby and I guess you could say, took up the "art of photography". I then purchased my first ever SLR/DSLR this year in February 2007 - the K10D. I selected it because of the rich features it offers and now spend countless hours shooting wildlife and the many species of shore and water birds here in Florida... I am an investigator by trade and have just this year completed a long overdue degree. I plan to further my education into the realm of art and photography in the years to come and I'd even like to learn enough to shoot professionally some day... The photos that I submit are my best efforts as I continue to learn and enjoy this wonderful world of digital photography…
