Larry Monserate Piojo

Pasig City, Metro Manila - Philippines

Larry Monserate Piojo or simply Athrio has always been an artist by heart. Most of his friends and family refer to him as a true artist. He started to draw at the age of four and has always been fascinated on how a simple piece of wood can create unimaginable things on a piece of paper. Other stuff he does include painting, poetry, music, and is known to be an ultimate break-dancer during his elementary to college days. Athrio dreamt of becoming an architect and a fine artist since an early age but did not pursue it due to family issues. Instead he finished with a degree in Business Administration, albeit a bit far-off from his true passion. He has lived his entire life without knowing his real father and after his mother died in 1992, he focused on discovering his other potentials he had inside him as a way to move on. Now, he is in love with photography. Conceivably, his images have deep emotional impact reflective of his own life. Today, Athrio works as a Senior Research Analyst for a European firm that provides financial and economic data worldwide. He still dreams of shooting for a respected newspaper or magazine, perhaps even becoming one of Time, Life or a National Geographic's photographers.
