27 years of amateur photography. My first film SLR camera was a Pentax ME Super in 1980 with Pentax M28 f2.8, M50 f1.7, M135 f3.5 and the M200 f4. I was shooting slides 90% of the time back then. In 1987, our son was born and then two girls in 1989 and 1991, so my priorities changed to focus on my beautiful young family and therefore photography took a back seat. In 1994, I obtained a Pentax Z50P and auto focus zooms, the FA28-80 f3.5-4.7 and the FA100-300 f4.5-5.6. This camera was more suited to the fast paced life of children and the need for fast capture. Pentax digital SLR's arrived in the form of the fabulous and very underated *ist D and my quest for the best Pentax lenses had begun and my zest for photography was rekindled. Life is too short, and so photography is now my passion especially now that our children are young adults. When the K10D arrived, I was very eager to get my hands on it and I have not been let down by it's brilliant image quality, especially when matched to some of the best glass available by any manufacturer. I have had a few photos published for a Sydney wildlife park. http://www.pbase.com/lance_b
