I started in photography in the early 70s when I was given a fixed lens 35mm rangefinder camera in junior high school. Within a few years I had saved up for a Pentax ME super. Taking classes and reading books just increased my interest in all types of photography. Photography has been a good match for me. It is something I can take with me as I travel and pick up or put down, as I need to. It wasn’t till I started using digital cameras that I really started to improve as a photographer. Not because I think digital is better than film but that digital has a quicker feedback for what it is that I am doing. This and the digital darkroom allows me learn faster.
