Kingston, Ontario - Canada - English

Born in 1982, I completed my undergraduate degree in Film Studies and Geographic Information Management Studies (GIS) at Queen's university in Kingston Ontario, Canada. I grew up in Newfoundland which fostered my love of the outdoors. I am absolutely passionate about Mountain Biking, but even on the bike my camera often stays with me. I have done some 35mm dark-room, colour 35mm and have tried a few different DSLR's, with my current Pentax K10D and wonderful Takumar lenses as the tools of choice. I love capturing imagery of all kinds, whether 16mm motion picture stock, digital video, 35mm and digital stills. I shot with my parent's old Pentax Asahi ESII before moving to digital, and find joy in using 30 year old optics on today's most advanced electronic devices. I have enjoyed shooting stills from the sets of the various films I have worked on, but it is tough when I'm supposed to be behind the video camera at the same time! I don't know what I hope to achieve with my photography...but for now I hope you enjoy seeing the world through my eyes.
