I highly respect and admire photographers. They amaze me. It's an art in its own right, learned through hard work, sweat and tears. That said, I am by no means a professional, and I'm learning to accept where I am in my life. It's helped me a lot to realize that, while professional photographers hold my utmost respect, I don't want to be one. Why? Because as an "amateur" no one really questions how I take my pictures. Go ahead and laugh. Is the lighting perfect? Is it cropped "just so"? Are my subjects wearing the most flattering colors and textures? I don’t know! But I still like it.
