My first SLR was a Pentax Spotmatic which was permanently borrowed from an older brother. My next foray into SLR started when I bought the K10D with the aim of photographing birds. I run a birding website called Simply Birding where birders are encouraged to display their latest pictures, not just of birds but also of nature in general. A lot of my bird photographs are taken using the digiscoping technique. I have also co-authored a book covering the hard to identify birds of Southern African called Southern African LBJ's made simple. Several of the photo's used in the book were taken with my K10D.
