Graduated from McMurry University in 1956. Worked in research and development and sales divisions of SmithKlineBeecham pharmaceuticals for 35 years. Retired in 1995. Have been active in photograpy for over 50 years, starting with a Kodak Brownie reflex in High School. Through the years, have owned Speed Graphic, Leica and Cannon film cameras. When I was in College, I was photographer for our Choir and covered all of our tours. The publicity director for the college asked me to cover an assignment for my roomate, the school photographer. The photo that I took was entered in the contest that year conducted by the Texas Intercollegite Press Association, and won first place. The judge of the contest was Joe Rosenthal, the photgrapher who took the famous picture of the U.S. Marines raising the American flag as Iwo Jima. I presently and retired and live in a gated community in East Texas and take pictures for Hideaway News, our local community paper and volunteer photo assignments for our church newsletter, club publicity photos,
as well as photos for friends and family. My areas of interest are events, sports, birds, and landscape photograpy.
