I am a wildlife conservationist and photographer based in India. I started photography when I was around 14, with a point and shoot 35mm compact camera. I later graduated to a K-mount fully manual SLR, the Vivitar V3000s, a K 1000 clone I'm told. I then graduated to a Pentax K 100D and used it for about a year and a half and now use a Pentax K 10D. My lenses include my new workhorse- an smc DA* 300mmF4 ED(IF) SDM which is sometimes coupled to a Promaster 'Spectrum 7' 1.7X TC, a trusty old Vivitar MC 50mm f/1.7, an smc DA 16-45mmF4 ED AL + Hoya 67mm CPL filter and a Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 Di 1:1 Macro. Earlier my workhorse used to be a Tamron 75-300mm f/4-5.6 LD AF and an smc DA 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AL, both of which I no longer use. I usually use a molar beanbag for stability but have recently acquired a Benro A 500EX tripod with a Benro BH-2 ball head. All my wildlife photographs, unless categorically stated, are of wild fauna and flora in their natural habitats and not in zoos or under captive conditions.
